Design of Ad-Hoc Wireless Networks - verkefni lokið
The impact of the project has been improved understanding of basic fundamental properties of wireless networking, and how to designing algorithms with performance guarantees.
The project „Design of ac-hoc wireless networks“, that
received an excellence grant from IRF in 2012, has now been completed. The
results from the project have been reported in 17 journal papers and 37
publications in competitive conferences. The impact of the project has been
improved understanding of basic fundamental properties of wireless networking,
and how to designing algorithms with performance guarantees. It has also led to
a revival of the study of models for wireless networking that combine
simplicity, generality, eciency and realism. The research was performed
primarily at ICE-TCS, Icelandic Center of Excellence in Theoretical Computer
Science, at Reykjavik University, in collaboration with researchers in
Switzerland, United States and France.
